My Bio

My journey as a Personal Growth & Wellbeing Coach started over 20 years ago when I was working in education. As an experienced teacher with proven results, I coached newly qualified teachers for many years through the initial stages of their careers. I still love coaching teachers today, from various stages of their careers, to help them achieve their goals and create the work, life and family balance they’re looking for.

It was in my position as Head of PSHE that I began to explore coaching concepts

Personal, Social and Health education is one of those key areas that can influence so much of a child’s time and experiences at school but can’t be ‘taught’ in the same way as other curriculum areas. That’s why I decided to explore ways of using powerful coaching concepts and other techniques to improve the emotional intelligence and overall well-being of the students at my school.

I found that all too often children would feel isolated and alone with the problems they were facing, both in school and their personal lives. Children are often battling low self-esteem, anxiety, body image issues, academic pressure and much more. Being afraid that nobody would understand their problems and confused on how to handle these challenges, many children suffer in silence. Ultimately, this leads to feelings of overwhelm and being paralysed by stress.

Those experiences have made me motivated to empower the lives of others today

I qualified as an Accredited Practitioner Coach with the International Authority for Professional Coaching & Mentoring (IAPCM). That’s enabled me to work with many children who can develop new habits, improve their self-esteem and confidence, and feel ready to tackle the world ahead of them. Working with children and teachers is just a small part of what I do, I also help working mums who feel they need clarity and direction in their lives but are feeling so overwhelmed they’re struggling to know where to begin.

Having two boys of my own, means I understand how easy it is for ‘mum guilt’ to kick in

My boys are aged 10 and 14, and like all working mums, I’ve been on quite the journey with them. When your child is younger, there are support groups everywhere that you can easily access and turn to, but as your child gets older, the support around you decreases until you feel like you’re entirely on your own. Everyone assumes that it gets easier over time, but it doesn’t, it’s the challenges you face that change.

I believe that it’s important for every woman to make space in their lives just for them and do the things that give them joy. This concept is so alien to many women that they simply don’t know where to begin or lack the support around them to make it a reality.

If you’re ready for some support or want to find out more about me and the work I do with women, children and teachers please don't hesitate to get in touch.
