Kirsty's Paws

I established Kirsty's Paws in 2018 to help support Dog owners, prevent behaviour problems, and reduce the number of Dogs being rehomed or relinquished to shelters due to behavioural problems.

I help owners to teach their Dogs using reward based techniques, and personalise their training to suit each individual household and their Dog. In a world that is full of conflicting advice, owners can trust that I have the knowledge and expertise to help them.

To ensure I can give the best support I have a level 6 Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviour with Distinction with the ISCP.

I am a Member of the IMDT, an Approved Dog Trainer with the Dog Training College, Certified Puppy Training Specialist and an IMDT Easy Peasy Puppy Qualified Trainer.
I have been working with Dogs since 2011, have studied for almost 20 years and am passionate about ongoing education.

I am also a Mentor for other Canine Professionals, offering professional support to other trainers, walkers and pet sitters.

I am proud to have won multiple awards for my services and be named as one of the Best Three Dog Trainers in Bournemouth.

In 2026 I founded Dog Training Appreciation Day, an annual celebration on the 18th July dedicated to recognising the positive impact that kind, ethical, reward-based Dog training has on Dogs, guardians and communities.

Dog Training Appreciation Day brings together everyone who believes in training through kindness, trust and understanding: Dog owners, trainers, behaviourists, veterinary professionals, rescue organisations, groomers, walkers, sitters, boarders and Dog lovers come together to celebrate the incredible difference kind and ethical training makes to Dogs and the people who love them.
