My Buzz
In 2023 we decided to design, create and launch 'Sounds Fun Resources', to support the learning of Phonics. As experienced, qualified teachers, we have been approached on many occasions, by parents, asking for ideas to help their children with Phonics at home.
Our Phonics activity packs are the perfect tool to support children from 2 years old, giving little ones a head start before beginning their school journey and beyond. They are portable and can be used at home or when out and about. Our aim is for our progressive Phonics resources to be engaging, interactive and a fun learning experience, rewarding for both parents and their children.
All our products are professionally printed and laminated in the UK. They are reusable, so no more ‘throw away’ worksheets. As our business grows, we are looking forward to making the steps towards giving back to a local charity close to our hearts.
We are on a mission to empower parents and children with Phonics knowledge and confidence.

My Bio
Hello, our names are Claire and Jemma. We are Mums, teachers and the creators of ‘Sounds Fun Resources’.
We live in Buckinghamshire with our families, and between us, have four girls between the ages of 3 – 18! We have been colleagues and friends since 2007, when we met at a local independent Prep School. Our combined teaching experience of over 25 years, has led us to work with pupils from a variety of Key Stages.
Whilst working with children from the Early Years, we were astounded by their progress and abilities. This reignited our passion for early phonics through imaginative and engaging tasks. In 2023, we made the decision to add another string to our bow. ‘Sounds Fun Resources’ was born, to enhance learning through fun activity packs at home.
We have strived to create hands-on, interactive resources for children from 2 years +. Our phonics packs, flashcards and learning mats are the perfect tools, giving little ones a head start before beginning their school journey. They can also be used to support and consolidate during the early years of education. As experienced teachers, we have designed our resources to work alongside the Early Years Foundation Strategy (EYFS), making them as practical as possible.
The aim of each resource is to be progressive. They allow children of all abilities to succeed, building confidence, without ‘screen time’. All our products are professionally printed and laminated locally. They are reusable, so no more ‘throw away’ worksheets.
Not only will your children become confident in sound recognition, they will also develop their letter formation and fine motor skills. We are so proud of our brand and would like to ‘Thank you’ for supporting our small business!
