My Bio

🪿🇬🇧A little introduction and explanation as to why I started Peckish Goose:🇬🇧🪿

Hello! I’m Sarah-Jane, the founder of Peckish Goose, and first of all, thank you ever so much for following our journey! It’s an exciting one and I love having so many loyal customers and friends (and customers who became friends) follow along.

We are based in leafy but Londoney South West London, with our two house-rabbits, Phoenix and Jemima. We have lived here three years, and prior to that we lived in Dorset, by the beach; an equally beautiful place.

I started Peckish Goose out of a love of animals and authentic British products. I am exceptionally proud of traditional British culture and enjoy choosing high quality British brands for my own home.

From my earliest childhood, my two favourite things were rabbits and London, so it’s no surprise that as an adult l’ve created a brand which encompasses both. There’s something about London which always feels magical, even when you live here.

I wanted Peckish Goose products radiate the same feeling you get when you walk past Big Ben or see Changing of the Guard- a deep pride in traditional British culture.

I believe in having products in my home which are long lasting, so they don’t need to be regularly replaced which is better for the planet and for our pockets.

Our designs feature our own beautiful bunny rabbits, Jemima and Phoenix and their friends, so Peckish Goose products don’t just look like they have character, they actually have character!

I’ve always chosen things for my home which have a story, which is why I love charity shops, and so I wanted to create a brand which also has a story. I think this makes Peckish Goose products not just perfect item for your own home, but the ideal thoughtful gift for someone special.

My son, Joshua, and my family are an absolutely integral part of the growth of Peckish Goose, supporting me no matter what. Come rain or shine, profit or loss.

Thank you again for following along and supporting Peckish Goose- you’re part of the Peckish Goose family and I’m so grateful for you 🇬🇧🐰🇬🇧

My Business Tips

1: Write down where you want to be with your business in the present tense, describe how you’re feeling. Do this as often as possible, ideally every day before you go to bed.

For example- “I’m standing in Selfridges and my products are on the shelves. It feels surreal! I cannot believe it”.

2: Do something very single day for your business, even if it’s just the smallest thing.

3: Support and encourage other entrepreneurs.  Things are better with friends.

4: Work on your business even when you don’t feel like it and don’t have any deadlines.  You won’t always feel inspired.

5: Physically get out and sell to your customers. You’ll learn so much about what works and what doesn’t. Markets are a great place to test your product.
