In 2023, I landed work with my dream client: Beano!
Having grown up reading the weekly adventures of Dennis the Menace, Minnie the Minx, Roger the Dodger, Billy Whizz and The Bash Street Kids, landing work with Beano as a copywriter was incredible.
It was only a short 3-part series about adding fun to your day, but that excited feeling has never left me.
So, imagine my joy when I dropped into the Liverpool Literary Festival to find current Dennis & Gnasher artist, Nigel Parkinson, in attendance!
And the best part?
He drew me as Matt the Menace!
My inner child was doing somersaults.
Such a brilliant day and something I’ll cherish as much as my SBS Winners Certificate!
And hey, definitely worth getting Nigel along to the SBS Winners Event to immortalise all those SBS Winning Minxes and Menaces!
