We are Cards for Good Causes, a multi-charity card and gift retailer, supporting national and local charities since 1959. As a not-for-profit organisation, we’ve raised more than £22 million for charities and community spaces over the last 10 years.
Each year, from September to December, we open over 120 pop-up Christmas shops in community venues including libraries, churches and museums, helping generate vital income for charities and local spaces alike. We also operate online and have year-round card and gift displays in selected libraries across London, with all proceeds supporting charitable causes.
Our mission is simple: to increase the amount we give to charities while strengthening community connections. Through our shops and Community Connection Hubs, we aim to create welcoming spaces where people can connect, chat and feel less isolated.
We’re always looking to partner with community venues across the UK that could host a card spinner, pop-up shop or Community Connection Hub.
With just 9 permanent staff members, our team here is small but mighty!
From September to December our team grows significantly as we welcome on board our Shop Managers and our wonderful volunteers to help run our network of pop-up Christmas shops. Our volunteers are vital to our mission - we quite simply could not do what we do without them.
Our team:
Christine Ansell - CEO
Carlie Arkell - COO
Alicia Green - Buying Manager
Zoe Fairley - Head Office & Customer Service Coordinator
Mark Ford - Operations Project Manager
Chris Dryland - Retail Partnerships
Gordon Balfour - Business Development Manager
Anita Walkinshaw - Regional Manager West
Laura Hayward - Marketing Executive
We are looking for new venues that could host year round card spinners or a temporary pop up Christmas shop. If you know of somewhere local to you, we would love to hear from you!
