Kidora launches nationwide Outgrown, Not Wasted family campaign

Following our recent #SBS win, Kidora has launched Outgrown, Not Wasted, a completely free seven-day family clear-out challenge designed to help as many UK parents as possible tackle the clothes, toys, books, shoes and other belongings children quickly grow out of.

The campaign encourages families to work through outgrown items and make a practical decision about each one: keep it, pass it on, donate it, recycle it responsibly or sell it. The aim is not simply to encourage selling, but to help useful children’s belongings find their next purpose rather than sitting unused or going to waste.

With Christmas approaching and more toys, clothes and gifts likely to come into family homes, Kidora hopes the challenge can help parents clear some space, check what they already own and make better use of good-quality items before buying more.

Outgrown, Not Wasted is a Kidora initiative and is completely free to take part in. Free resources are also available for families, schools, nurseries, PTAs and community organisations that would like to share the challenge with parents.

The campaign is already beginning to gain recognition, with Outgrown, Not Wasted recently featured by The Bolton News and Tattenhall Online as a practical initiative for families.

Kidora hopes the campaign can continue to spread across the UK and help more parents give outgrown children’s belongings a useful next life.
