My Bio

I'm Tania Gerard (Tarn), founder of Tania Gerard Digital, the UK's first consultancy to combine neurodiversity training with accessible marketing strategy.

After years leading digital teams in agencies, I founded TGD in 2024. As a neurodivergent founder, I know first-hand what it's like when systems aren't built for the way your brain works, so I built something better.

Today I help companies across the UK and US make their marketing accessible and their workplaces neuroinclusive. Our work has helped the NHS, Greene King, Help for Heroes, Amazon, Dentsu, APCO Worldwide & many more.

I'm a TEDx speaker, a UK Parliament ADHD Champion, an ADHD UK Ambassador, a Purple Tuesday Global Ambassador, Canva SMB Ambassador and I hold the CPACC accessibility certification. I'm based in Leicestershire.

My Business Tips
  • Write for skimmers. Use short sentences, clear headings and bullet points. Accessible content is easier for everyone to read, not just disabled or neurodivergent people.
  • Add alt text to every image. Describe what the image shows and why it matters. It helps screen reader users and gives your SEO a boost too.
  • Check your colour contrast. Light grey text on white looks stylish but is hard to read. Free tools like WebAIM's Contrast Checker take seconds.
  • Caption your videos. Most social video is watched on mute, and captions help Deaf and hard-of-hearing people as well as non-native speakers.
  • Ask people how they like to communicate. Some people prefer a call, others an email or a written agenda. Asking costs nothing and builds trust with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Accessibility is a growth strategy. Around 1 in 4 UK adults is disabled. If they can't use your website, they can't buy from you. Simples.
