On the 18th and 19th of June, Theo Paphitis and the #SBS Crew attended the 2025 SME Expo, one of the UK’s leading exhibitions and conferences dedicated entirely to SME founders and entrepreneurs looking to scale their businesses.
Running since 2022, the SME Expo provides the perfect platform for small businesses to discover new opportunities, network with peers and learn from industry experts. This dynamic event is completely free and offers business owners valuable insights, meaningful connections and access to the latest solutions designed to fuel growth.
Across both Wednesday and Thursday, the #SBS Crew hosted a stand at the Expo, showcasing the ongoing work that #SBS Small Business Sunday continues to do to support the UK’s entrepreneurs, SMEs and other small business initiatives. With the 15th anniversary of #SBS approaching, this event was the perfect opportunity to celebrate how far the initiative has come.
On day two, Theo Paphitis visited the #SBS team at their stand before joining Irene Graham OBE on stage for a fireside chat. During this spotlight Q&A session, Theo shared his invaluable expertise on essential topics such as cashflow management, embracing your unique strengths and leveraging technology to thrive in today’s fast paced business environment.
Retail Entrepreneur, Owner & Chairman – Ryman, Robert Dyas & Boux Avenue and Small Business Champion: “The SME XPO was a fantastic opportunity for entrepreneurs to listen and learn across a two-day event, and I thoroughly enjoyed getting under the bonnet of all things small business, and talking about the key elements, that ensure a business start-up has everything in their toolkit to thrive, be innovative and ultimately grow. The #SBS Crew had a stand too, telling entrepreneurs all about the free opportunities that #SBS Small Business Sunday offers businesses.”
This is just one of the events that #SBS Small Business Sunday has attended to reach out to and engage with the small business community.
