Our aims are to reduce waste and create more sustainable communities, and inspire creativity through craft workshops focused on using recycled fabric and materials. Also combining textiles and tech to create innovative creative mindful sessions. This is important in having the opportunity to talk about common issues and/or experiences, bereavement etc. whilst being creative
Feed My Creative CIC is a multi-award-winning social enterprise dedicated to sustainability and creativity within communities. We work with both young people and adults, guiding them on how to be more sustainable through the innovative use of fabrics. Our primary mission is to reduce waste and build more sustainable communities by inspiring creativity through craft workshops. These workshops emphasise the use of recycled fabrics and materials, offering participants a hands-on opportunity to explore their creative potential.
Beyond the environmental impact, our sessions provide a supportive space for individuals to connect and share their experiences, whether it’s discussing common issues like bereavement or simply enjoying the therapeutic process of making something with their hands. We believe that textiles are more than just materials, they are a powerful medium for expression and healing, capable of eliciting profound emotional responses.
Through our work, we aim to inspire change, nurture creativity, and strengthen bonds within the communities.
Always write things down, being an ideas person I have many notebooks but I’m a firm believer of nothing happens before it’s time. If I write it is easier to plan ahead normally mind maps as it’s a working document and visually easier to cross off things I’ve achieved (usually with a highlighter!)
