RED-Scue has been named a finalist in the 2026 SeedLegals Awards.
As a female-founded, athlete-led business, this is a huge moment for me and for RED-Scue.
The business started from my own experience as an athlete. After years of training and competing, including representing the Spanish National Team, I experienced injury after injury and eventually had to rethink not just how I trained, but how I fuelled.
I was looking for something simple: convenient, natural, quality carbohydrates that I could use around training.
I didn’t want to create another version of the gels, chews and highly manufactured sports nutrition products already on the market.
I wanted something in the middle.
Natural fuel that could work before, during and after training, using ingredients such as cassava and plantain, while still being convenient enough for the reality of an athlete’s everyday life.
When I started speaking to other athletes, I realised I wasn’t the only one struggling to navigate fuelling.
So many conversations came back to the same things: confusion around nutrition, uncertainty about what and when to eat, underfuelling, and gut struggles.
Those conversations have shaped RED-Scue from the beginning.
And to now see this little idea — which started from my own experience and a desire to create something I genuinely needed — recognised as a SeedLegals Awards finalist feels incredibly special.
This year, SeedLegals has introduced a brand-new Founders’ Favourite Award, which is voted for by the community.
So if you’ve just heard about RED-Scue, believe in the mission, have tried our energy bars, come to one of our pop-ups, shared our journey or simply believe in what we’re building, your vote would mean the world.
Thank you to everyone who has supported RED-Scue so far.
From the first pop-ups and events to every order, message, conversation and piece of feedback — this journey has been built with an incredible community around it.
Being named a finalist is a huge honour.
