SBS winners from 2020, Kingsbury Lawn Care are proud to have been named as a finalist for ‘Micro Business of the Year’ at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Awards (West Midlands region) for 2022. The winner of this award, and each of the 12 categories will progress to the UK finals in Glasgow in May. A full list of the finalists for the West Midlands regional final to be held in March can be viewed here.

We spoke to founder Jack Chapman about the nomination, he said:

“The judges were looking for evidence of sustained business growth over the last two years, along with future sustainability of the business. As a business that has onboarded net 300 new customers in the last 12 months and alongside our repeat purchase business model, we believe we have this in abundance to have shot for the UK final.”

“Since our ‘Small Business Sunday’ win in 2020, the growth of the business really has kicked on allowing us to create two additional full time roles within the company since, with room for further growth this year. 2022 will not all be about growth via customer acquisition – we’ve been working hard to cut through the current cost of living crisis to really dial down on the level of service we can provide our client base and be sure that we are reaching more ideal clients than ever this year.”

Kingsbury Lawn Care were able to share this news with Loughborough University in recent days where Jack studied Sport Management and appetite for both business and turf care developed. Theo and SBS gains a mention too!

We wish them all the best at the finals and for the year.
