Erykah Goodship, a former student of Hardenhuish School, has been selected to head up the new social media marketing team at Wiltshire-based tech company Black Nova.

Following an unsuccessful gap year due to Covid19 restrictions, Erykah, now 20, had made plans to study business marketing and management at university last September.

Then her life took an unexpected direction when she saw an opportunity to work closer to home with Black Nova, based in Calne.

Working with co-owner Danielle Holmes, Erykah has boosted Black Nova’s online presence with regular posts, branded graphics and beneficial interactions. The company’s website has become highly visible in the digital space with a domain authority of more than 70 – much higher than most SMEs.

“My career within digital marketing is only just beginning,” said Erykah. “But I can’t wait to be at the helm of our ambition for Black Nova Social over the coming months.”

Danielle said that she was overwhelmed by the amount of interest Black Nova received within such a short space of time with their client-list growing within days.

She said: “We are excited to expand our services and couldn’t think of anyone better to manage Black Nova Social than Erykah. Her personable yet passionate approach to social media management and marketing is evident in our client’s and in-house profile performance. We cannot wait to watch both Black Nova Social and Erykah as a social media manager grow!”

Black Nova provides a range of IT services for individuals and businesses from complete IT infrastructure solutions, through to tech repairs, ebsite design, hosting and now organic social media and marketing around Facebook and Instagram, which reflects their marketing strategies.

Erykah said: “We have already helped a variety of businesses increase their brand awareness, gain new clients and create sales through our social media management services.

“We offer packages with details about the range of features that each social media platform provides along with advice on how to make the best use of them.”

Erykah explained that if you decide to promote your business on social media, it is crucial to  understand each platform and its advantages.
