Our vegan friendly crayons are all handmade from scratch using sustainably sourced, plant-based waxes and food grade pigments.
Our crayons have been independently lab tested and carry the UKCA mark to ensure that they are safe for those precious little hands.
My Bio
Hi! I'm Nikki, the creator of The Natural Crayon Company. I'm a mother, wife, general oddball and all round nature lover.
Back in Christmas 2019 I purchased some beautiful personalised crayons for my daughter made from melted down wax crayons. They were lovely and really unique but came packaged with a lot of bubble wrap and plastic. This set me off looking for other companies that did something similar but in a more eco-friendly way.
After looking more into the ingredients contained within traditional paraffin wax crayons, I started researching into more natural and environmentally friendly alternatives..........
I struggled to find any alternatives produced in the UK that were both eco-friendly and had actually gone through the CE marking process - so I started looking into how to make my own.
After many weeks of research and experimenting in my kitchen, I finally had some crayons!! By the time I’d finished making those little dinosaurs for my daughters 3rd birthday party bags, I’d fallen in love with the whole process, and so - The Natural Crayon Company was born!
