Bristol Glad Rags

Bristol Glad Rags is my women's preloved clothes shop. I specialise in beautiful 'new to you' clothes which are sourced locally from my home town in...you guessed it, Bristol!

All of my items are sold on my Instagram page. My page is part of a community of other wonderful resellers and preloved buyers. It's inclusive, friendly, fun, and full of sustainable fashion... what's not to love?

I started BGR in lockdown while on Maternity leave because I noticed three things:

1. my maternity pay was quickly dwindling

2. lots of people were having clearouts

3. many charities were reaching out for donations

Me and my little babe would drive around Bristol collecting all the unwanted clothes (from a distance might I add, we don't want the COVID police coming for me!). I would bring them home, sort them, wash them, and sell them online. I would then donate a chunk of my profits to local charities.

My house was basically a giant laundrette! Soz husband.

Since the virus days, I have fine-tuned my methods and now I source the clothes myself and sell them weekly on my Instagram page.
