#SBS Small Business Sunday State of the Nation Roundtable Event (“the event”) Terms & Conditions

  1. Entry criteria 

1.1 Entrants must be a #SBS winning business to enter and be eligible for a place at the event.

1.2 Only one entry per business is allowed. Multiple entries will be deemed invalid.

  1. Entry and selection process

2.1 The entry period opens on April 17th 2023 at 2pm (BST) and closes on May 19th 2023 at 9.00am (BST).

2.2 Entrants must contact the event organiser on sbs@tpretailgroup.com to request an entry form; complete the form provided as instructed; and return it to sbs@tpretailgroup.com by the closing period specified in Section 2.1. 

2.3 No purchase is necessary to enter for a place at the event.

2.4 The event organiser will select 6 businesses (“the participants”) from the eligible submissions to attend the event, based on the content of responses to the entry form questions, each requiring 400 words or less. The judges’ decision will be final.

  1. Participant notification and acceptance 

3.1 The selected businesses will be notified by 26th May 2023 via their email address provided on the entry form and must confirm their acceptance within two working days of the timestamp of the notification email.  

3.2 Acceptance should be confirmed via email to sbs@tpretailgroup.com. Failure to provide acceptance within the specified timeframe may result in a business forfeiting their place at the event to another business as decided on by the event organiser.

  1. Event requirements 

4.1 Participants must be available to attend the event in person on June 29th 2023 in London. Virtual attendance is not an option for the event. 

4.2 Participants agree to cover their own expenses incurred as a result of attending the in-person event, including, but not limited to, travel and accommodation expenses as required. 

4.3 Participants are required to abide by the #SBS Code of Conduct throughout the event. The #SBS Code of Conduct can be viewed by clicking here

4.4 Participants agree not to photograph, video or record at any time during the Roundtable discussion. Photography, videography and recording will be carried out by the event organiser only during this time. 

  1. Event amendment and cancellation

5.1 The event organiser reserves the right to amend or cancel the event at any time. No cash or other alternative shall be provided.

  1. Data sharing 

6.1 Names of event participants will be included in event marketing and publicity by the event organiser, and may feature in a published report that will be shared in the #SBS Group and externally, via the website. Marketing and publicity materials may also include photography and videography of the event including images and videos of participants, as well as comments made by participants during the Roundtable discussion. Participants will have the opportunity to approve their own comments prior to publishing. Such content may also be shared via associated social media accounts and with third parties, and will be under the ownership of the event organiser.
