Principle Founder Brian Hall, Principle Founder Andrew Federowsky, Principle Founder Wayne Sharpe and first employee Maree St Clair started Bartercard on the Gold Coast, Australia, in 1991.
This team shared a vision for Bartercard to become the world's largest trade exchange and a globally recognised business-to-business brand.
Bartercard now supports 40 offices in Australia and 72 globally who successfully trade on a daily basis.
It was in 1995 that Bartercard International was created to replicate the model globally. Currently Bartercard operates in six countries in the Asia Pacific rim, Middle East and Europe with new International License enquiries daily.
In May 2012 the Bartercard International Group was formed merging both the Australian and International enities to make it easier for members to trade on a global platform.
My Bio
Bartercard is a Global Trade Exchange of 55,000 card holders, who trade £500 million per year of goods and services with each other via Bartercard’s unique payment card ‘Bartercard’. Bartercard enables clients to trade its spare capacity, downtime or unsold stock and turn these assets into real revenue to use for all sorts of business and personal expenditure.
Founded in 1991, Bartercard has offices in Australia, USA, New Zealand, UAE, Thailand, Cyprus and eleven UK regional offices. Bartercard is expanding in the UK and is looking for new suppliers, in all industries.
Bartercard is undertaking a major expansion in the UK and have opened three new offices in the last six months.
