I am absolutely so in love with what I do that for me, it doesn't feel like work. My business is my second baby.
At 22 years old, my daughter was 1 and a half and I was a bored stay at home Mum. My Mum was a keen crafter herself and gave me an engraving tool and let me lose on the glasses and jars in our kitchen. Art was all I knew. It was all I'd ever studied and all I really had passion for. Soon, she encouraged me to start a Facebook page. And Clear Skye's (named after my daughter) was born in June 2014.
After just 7 weeks, my hand engraving business went viral and I hit 14K followers. By a year old I had 30K followers and I could not meet demand. I was resistant at first but I decided to buy a laser as it made business sense. I couldn't keep turning people away. And it changed my life, and my business.
In 2018, I shut my doors for mental health reasons and took a break for 4 years to work for the NHS. Now September 2022 I'm ready to jump straight back in. And I am so blessed and thankful for the opportunity to do what I love.
Clear Skye's is my dream, and all I ever want to do. Absolutely over the moon to be a #SBS winner!
A little personality and realness to your social media posts will take your further than you ever thought possible! I stand by this and owe a lot of my success to portray my personality on social media. Sometimes risky as not always deemed "professional" but for me, it worked wonders. And I am so greatful.
