Estilo String Quartet

The Estilo String Quartet is one of the most celebrated and critically acclaimed quartets working in the South East.

Based in East London, we play for wedding and civil partnership ceremonies, receptions and corporate events. We work for leading event planners such as Mark Niemierko at Niemierko, Eventbrite, Quintessentially Events, Bijou Bride, Pink Pumpkin, Serena Coad and Danielle Nay. We have a long, diverse repertoire from Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven to arrangements of modern songs by Coldplay, Daft Punk, Muse, Jason Mraz, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Adele.

In 2012 and 2013 Estilo was nominated for the Perfect Wedding Awards (Best Entertainment), played for the opening of Oscar de la Renta Bridal on Mount Street (for Niemierko), performed with the trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth during the turning on of the Regent Street Christmas Lights for Classic FM/EMI and during the ceremony for the wedding of Peaches Geldof and Thomas Cohen. We have recently been featured in Hello! and Wedding Ideas Magazine and numerous blogs. In July Estilo was chosen as one of Jacqueline Gold's #MOM winners - a twitter based award similar to #SBS

Individually, our string players have performed, toured and recorded with artists such as Lana Del Rey, Professor Green, Pixie Lott, Oasis, One Direction, Kanye West, Goldfrapp, McFly, Emili Sandé, Gnarls Barkley, Lemar, Michael Bublé, Dizzee Rascal, Heritage Orchestra, Gorillaz and Take That.

Estilo musicians have performed at festivals including Glastonbury, Sónar, Latitude and Radio 1 Hackney Weekend and on TV shows such as X Factor, TOTP, This Morning, Children in Need, Later, Daybreak, and Strictly Come Dancing.
Our musicians are members of groups including the BBC Concert Orchestra and Royal Ballet Sinfonia and freelance and have been members of orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Southbank Sinfonia, Philharmonia, BBC NOW, BBCSSO, BBC Symphony, London Symphony Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony, Royal Opera House, English National Opera and in West End shows including West Side Story, A Little Night Music, Love Story, Aspects of Love, South Pacific, Sweeney Todd, Matilda and Ghost.

Estilo regularly performs at the major London churches and wedding venues. Our most recent engagements have taken place at the following: Stapleford Park, Four Seasons Hotel, London at Park Lane, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Claridge's, The Dorchester, Royal Opera House, Coworth Park and Mandarin Oriental.
