My Buzz
At Fatlab Designs we don't just engrave or carve stuff, we make unique bespoke gifts which will be remembered forever. We pride ourselves on being able to put virtually any image, logo or text on just about any material for that ultra-personalised gift.
Many of our clients don't know what it is they want when they approach us, just that they want something unique which captures the moment. We work with them to understand the event, help to identify the type of material, then theme the design on any ideas they may have.
Once a design has been agreed, we can store that design so it can be recreated on any other medium at a later date.
We don't just laser engrave, carve, mark or print. We fuse state-of-the-art technology with artisan skills to produce beautiful pieces of art that will remembered forever.
My Bio
Hi, I’m David Leask, Founder & Creative Lead at Fatlab Designs. Together with Kristian Leask, we created created Fatlab Designs in Warwick, UK.
With a background in fabrication engineering, manufacturing, IT and design we started to combine traditional wood, metal, resin and leather manufacturing techniques with cutting-edge CAD/CAM and CNC manufacturing technologies to create unique custom pieces.
What started as a hobby to learn new skills quickly became a thriving operation built on repeat business.
Why 'Fatlab Designs'
For nearly twenty five years, we have had Labradors, both rescue dogs and from pups. They are an intrinsic part of the family, with us daily, whether in the office or the workshop. All of ours have been show breed labs with a tendency to be on the big side if we don’t watch their food, hence the name ‘Fat Labradors‘ shortened to ‘Fatlab‘ with the happy fat dog logo!
