We pride ourselves on our environmental awareness and responsibilities, coupled with how the product is specifically tailored for the end user, you will get to see how Flutter Shutter™ aims to tick every box regarding energy efficiency, engineering, social impact, environmental supply chain and a lot more throughout this website.
With the climate crisis in full swing we want to be a huge part of assisting organisations working towards their Government set Net Zero targets. In addition, it is as equally important to protect and support the very real people who are struggling to pay their energy bills due to the increasing fuel prices. Making life easier for the occupant is extremely important to us as a company, and Flutter Shutter™ is designed predominantly with the end user in mind.
My Bio
Hi I'm Nadine, Director and Inventor of Flutter Shutter Ltd™.
I run the business with my 2 Sisters - Rechelle and Rhianne.
We started out in business way back in 2012, doing energy assessments up and down the UK in order for people to have their homes improved with energy measures.
It was here that we witnessed first hand the enormity of fuel poverty.
We seen windows being ripped out needlessly and replaced just to tick a box. This waste was then going to landfill, and we wanted to prevent this from happening. And so Flutter Shutter™ was born.
As women we wanted to create an energy product that looked good as well as doing good. Flutter Shutter™ is now a fully UK patented secondary glazing energy efficiency measure, that has been put through its paces and tested by Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Salford at their Energy House Labs, and also BRE who have awarded us our own U-values and SAP Ratings that will help to increase the EPC Rating of a property.
We are currently working with Ofgem to be approved under the ECO scheme which will give us national coverage to install across the UK, helping those who need it most.
As we are a secondary glazing measure, we are also a perfect solution for Heritage Buildings, so those that are Listed, in Conservation areas or Hard to Treat and what's more we don't require planning permission, in most cases, as we don't interfere with the structural integrity of the building. Helping to preserve the past for the future is of paramount importance to us.
Our mission is to help people save money, energy and live more comfortably in their homes.
