My Buzz
I run Freja Designer Dressmaking. It is a couture design workshop in central Edinburgh. We design and make Wedding Dresses, Mother of the Bride outfits and ladies' tailoring, especially suits and tweed jackets.
We have won Scottish Bridal Designer of the year, 6 times over and been in the final many more.
We love to create beautiful clothes for the individual while keeping an eye on sustainable options.
My Bio
I am Mette Baillie. I am a Dane living and working in beautiful Edinburgh. I started my business in 1999 as an alternative to fast fashion. Fashion seems faster, and we supply beautiful slow fashion garments crafted for the individual.
I love the Scottish scenery, and the Scottish textiles are perfect for this climate. I love to put a modern twist on those. And my jackets have been featured on prime television in Denmark and Norway.
I recently set up an online course to teach beginners and regular sewers dressmaking skills.
