My Buzz

Grow Minds Coaching supports children who feel anxious, overwhelmed or misunderstood to find the confidence to believe in themselves again.
I work with children who may be struggling with confidence, anxiety, emotional resilience, friendships, bullying, school pressures or big changes such as the transition to secondary school. Sometimes there isn't one obvious problem at all — a parent simply knows that their child isn't quite themselves.
Through one-to-one coaching, group programmes and work with schools, I give children a safe, non-judgemental space where they can talk when they're ready, explore what's getting in the way and begin to recognise their own strengths.
There is no such thing as a typical child, so there is no typical Grow Minds session. We might talk, draw, play a game, get creative or simply sit together while a child decompresses. I meet each child exactly where they are.
Because I don't coach a programme. I coach the child in front of me.
Grow Minds isn't about creating a different child. It's about helping that child understand themselves, find their voice, build confidence and emotional resilience, and discover what they're capable of.

My Bio

I'm Rose, founder of Grow Minds Coaching and a children's confidence and resilience coach.
Before starting Grow Minds, I spent more than 20 years working with children in education, across both primary and secondary schools. During that time, I saw again and again that some of the brightest, funniest and most capable children were struggling — not because they couldn't learn, but because anxiety, overwhelm, difficult experiences or a lack of confidence were getting in the way.
I also saw how difficult it could be for schools and families to provide the individual time and space those children sometimes needed.
Grow Minds grew from that gap.
My background in education, together with my training as a children's coach and my own experience as a parent, shapes the way I work today. I don't expect a child to fit into a particular approach. I take time to build trust, listen without judgement and understand the child in front of me before we work out what might help.
More than anything, I believe every child deserves someone who believes in them — and the chance to believe in themselves too.
