My Buzz

Heritage Painting are Coachpainters and Signwriters who use traditional brush painting techniques took cosmetically restore road and rail locomotives, rolling stock, trams and vintage road vehicles.

Our work has included painting world famous locomotives such as 'Flying Scotsman' and 'Mallard' for the National Railway Museum, locomotives for the Severn Valley Railway and East Lancashire Railway and a whole host of traction engines and steam rollers. The company has always had a mobile element where it's easier to move us to the work, but business expansion has seen us move in to new premises to allow us to manage our recent increase in workload.

My Bio

I started the business following a long and lengthy recovery after suffering injury in the RAF. During this period, I began volunteering at the East Lancashire Railway within the engineering department. As I was unable to carry out any heavy engineering, I was given the opportunity to teach myself the art of coach painting with guidance from friends working at the railway.

After three years of volunteering, I was offered the chance to work as a contractor for various clients, which lead to the formation of Heritage Painting.
