ICL Tech Ltd

At the outset of the Covid-19 crisis, -plastics manufacturer, ICL Tech Ltd, repurposed its business and set up www.TechPPE.co.uk to help supply essential PPE to the NHS, and wider health and care sectors.

Its TechPPE division was born. The company received a hugely positive response to its innovative PPE designs including face shields, cotton masks, medical hoods, mark extenders, and various protective screens for hospitals, retail, offices and industry.

Developed with guidance from NHS Consultants, its PPE products were recognised for being fit for purpose as well as attaining a high level of quality and comfort.

Alder Hey Children's Hospital was one of the first NHS Trust hospital to ask ICL Tech for help due to the widespread PPE shortages. ICL Tech turned around the prototyping, testing and approval of its first face shield design, with the first batch manufactured and shipped in less than 3 days.
