My Buzz
I believe that all children should have opportunities to learn computational thinking skills. My children's book, book 1, focuses on decomposition, algorithms, and online safety. Learning through literacy and key learning in a child's life.
My Bio
My name is Pam Jones and I have over 12 years’ experience as an ICT / Computing teacher, Head of Department, E-safety Coordinator, Head of Year and industry freelance edtech curriculum designer/consultant. Giving me the opportunity to see first-hand the shift from ICT to Computing and the challenges of upskilling to accommodate this new direction.
Through supporting schools in both primary and secondary schools with their computing curriculum and training needs, I have seen the gap for materials focusing on computational thinking. My book series will help introduce key skills and key words that all children should practise and understand.
Computational thinking is problem solving and a skill all children should have the opportunity to practise, understand, apply and thrive in. Learning through literacy enables this to happen.
