Hello! I'm Rosalind, the founder and maker of Olivia Michael Candle Co.

In 2019 I was feeling a little lost on the path I was taking in life, beaten down by years of physical illness, and unhappy with my job struggling in holistic therapy.  After a big heart-to-heart with my husband, I disclosed that the one thing I had always had the desire to learn was how to make my own home fragrance. We set about learning what was needed for this magnificent craft and the journey began.

Like every journey, there were some potholes in the road. A global pandemic affected my mental state badly and I felt defeated by everything. But after some life-changing therapy my creativity suddenly came alive. I was so inspired and determined to keep going, and I threw myself into candle testing and committed myself to see where this could go.

I soon realised I hadn't felt this passionate about anything in my life before, and the desire to make this be more than a hobby took over, and with the help of my brilliant husband we worked hard to turn this passion into a fully fledged business.

I wanted to create a range of scents that were inspired by nature. Having grown up by the coast and having access to forests and the South Downs; these were my inspiration, and I wanted to add a little elegance and indulgence into it too.

I hand-pour every product in small batches in my home in Sussex.
