My Buzz

Wow! I am so overwhelmed by the response, within seconds of being retweeted by Theo Paphitis my phone and ipad were going crazy with twitter notifications from people congratulating me. I have gained over 100 followers within the first day and the activity on both twitter and my website has stayed a lot higher than average since! I can't wait to see what the coming weeks bring! Thank You

My Bio

At Pocket&Pin you will find the prettiest supplies for your crafts. Our aim is to find the best quality trims, ribbons, felt, fabric and buttons we can that will add the perfect touch to your handmade creations.

My name is Sarah and I am an avid crafter myself as well as being the face and creative mind behind the business. I enjoy nothing more than sitting down with my sewing machine or knitting machine and getting lost in a project! (when my little monkeys let me that is!)

I studied Textiles & Surface Design at university and went on to be a Freelance Knitwear Designer, selling designs to various companies/designers in London, Paris and New York. I later fell into buying and gained some valuable experience from the opposite side of the business. Pocket&Pin finally became a reality after my two boys were born. I returned to work part-time but obviously I was craving more time with them and I had a desire to return to my textile background, this led me to launch Pocket&Pin.

I love sourcing gorgeous trims, ribbon, lace, fabrics and yarns, both new and vintage. I hope through my enthusiam I can inspire my customers to get excited about sewing and working on their own home crafts. There is nothing more satisfying to me than creating bespoke 'not available anywhere else' items that suit me and my home perfectly.

I am passionate about design and love rescuing and regenerating vintage lace, trims and fabrics, giving them a new purpose. I am a great believer in the 'make do and mend' ethos but want to bring it up to date and make it exciting and fresh.

As Pocket&Pin grows, and with a little help from my husband and family, I will continue to broaden my range of gorgeous craft supplies to keep you coming back for more.

My Business Tips

Interact with your customer's! It gives a real personal touch that is to often lacking in the world today. I constantly engage with my customers on social media and love meeting them when i attend craft fairs. People love to get to know the person behind the business. It has been so valuable for and helped me come out of my shell a bit too.
