My Bio
I have always been interested in food...eating and cooking! In 2021 I bought myself a 'lockdown gift', an Ooni pizza oven. Desperate to practise and improve I soon started cooking for all our neighbours on our new build estate in North Herts. Their encouragement led my wife and I to officially start Slice of Price in October 2021. We started selling to the local area from our back garden, a great way to meet people! Overwhelmed by demand, we started trading from the local market and a regular 'pop up' at the local pub soon followed. We bought another pizza oven, a pop up gazebo and a bit of kit and we are enjoying watching our small business grow. We now have a variety or events lined up as well as a few collaborations with other local small businesses. Oh... and we have just ordered another oven!
My Business Tips
Be persistent and don't give up! Liz, my wife, is like a dog with a bone, but that attitude has really helped to drive us forward.
Social media is your friend. It is great for marketing, networking and support from other people with similar interests
Don't be afraid to ask for help and support. Use social media, join online forums and groups, ask friends and family, you'll be surprised what you will learn.
