Tweets are pouring in. New followers every 2 minutes. Overwhelming. Big thanks to Theo Paphitis for coming up with such an extraordinary idea.
Based in Oxfordhire, I run Stoneletters, a creative letter carving studio.
Having trained at one of the most renowned stone carving workshops in Europe, I started my own 10 years ago. I am a letter carver but also carry out heraldic carving; the disciplines of which are very closely linked. I make headstones, memorials, opening plaques, sundials and coats of arms. I owe much to the masters who trained me and passed down their valuable knowledge. This is now passed down to the apprentices who come through the workshop. My work can be found at St Paul's Cathedral, The Royal Albert Hall and many of the country's finest and oldest institutions.
Don't get too confident. Do worry about doing a good job. Never do a bad job. Be polite to your clients, suppliers and staff. Clients need to come first. Always be prepared for change, and be alert for new idea's. Have breaks.
