My Business Tips

There's no such thing as an overnight success.

Keep going. Be resilient. Learn to network both face to face and using social media. Twitter has a massive impact on my business, more than any other platform. The majority of my client base I met through Twitter, and now they refer me. It's been invaluable.

Get known, get a good reputation, and never promise anything that you can't deliver on. Learn to say "No".

Outsource! If you're too busy working IN the business: paperwork, accounts, marketing etc. you're not working ON your business i.e doing what YOU do best and love. Play to your strengths, and pay others to do the other stuff.

Cashflow! Put money aside whenever you can for the day when an invoice doesn't get paid straightaway, or heaven forbid, not at all. These things happen. You still need to pay your bills every month.
