My Buzz
I'm Rishi, a dad, creator and founder of The Speech Heroes, a children's communications IP brand inspired by our family's real life journey with speech and language challenges. My journey began when my son was struggling to communicate and understand words. To connect with him, I wrote a rap song called Speech Bound. A few weeks later, he started repeating the words back to me. That moment changed everything and became the spark behind The Speech Heroes.
What started at home as a person response to my son's communications difficulties soon grew into a bigger mission. I wanted to empower children, challenge stigma around speech and language delays and help young people see themselves as heroes whilst they find their voice.
My Bio
Early this year I launched our first children's book, The Speech Heroes Vs. The Word Stoppers marking the beginning of a new chapter for the brand. I am currently developing a children communication adventure board game with expertise of a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist. The family board game will take children and parents through worlds of The Word Stoppers, turning communication challenges into play, learning and confidence building.
In the last 12 months myself and my son have raised £3200 to support children impacted by speech and language challenges in raising awareness and change for children across the UK.
Alongside this, The Speech Heroes has been featured on BBC Breakfast, BBC World News, BBC West Midlands Today, ITV News London, as well as Forbes, We have also been recognised as UK Start Up of the Year Finalists for Consumer Products in the West Midlands.

Community is everything.
You just need one person to believe in an idea you have. In my experience magical things can happen.
A entrepreneur's journey can be lonely, always look at small compounding with a consistent approach.
Say it out loud to the universe and give gratitude to positive and negative outcome through your journey, sometimes it's about timing and alignment.
