The Splat Centre

The Splat Centre is a private children's centre based in the North East. It was set up by myself, a qualified teacher, and my husband in response to the multiple closures of local authority funded children's centres in the area. With government funding being withdrawn and budget cuts taking place, we saw a gap in the market for a private and independent children's centre business that would offer many of the services previously offered by local authorities and more. We have always offered a wide range of services - from musical theatre classes to baby massage workshops, from sessional childcare to pre school groups, from toddler classes to young writers workshops - however, more recently we have been able to add to this range. We are currently working on behalf of the local authority delivering services for groups of children and families and we have launched our range of outreach services for corporate clients also. We can now offer a mobile creche service for exhibitions, conferences, training courses all over the country and children's workshops and entertainment at special events, in schools, nurseries and more. We have a highly qualified and experienced team of staff working for us and we are therefore able to offer high quality services. Our staff are either qualified teachers, qualified nursery nurses, qualified Early Years Workers or experienced children's practitioners.
