When you’ve worked on your art college portfolio for 5 months it can be quite difficult to get some perspective and clarity to bring it all together for interview. When you know your work inside out getting a fresh pair of eyes on your work and a mock interview can really consolidate your application.
This practical, hands-on session from expert in portfolio preparation Julie Read from Portfolio Oomph is designed for anyone who is applying to art college and is in the process of finalising their portfolio for interview.

Time: 2 hour slots (9-11am, 11am – 1pm, 1-3pm, 3-5pm)

Talking about your work in a mock interview scenario will give you the skills and confidence to make sure that you represent yourself to your best ability. We'll identify the strengths and weaknesses in your folio and you'll learn how to talk about it ALL positively.

Julie has been at both ends of the system; helping students creating an art portfolio for success in applying to art college, as well as interviewing applicants for entry to Edinburgh College of Art for nine years. She also led the student recruitment activity at Edinburgh College of Art (2006 – 9) which involved advising many prospective students and their parents about applying to art college.
