Our Experience of Winning #SBS

We were selected as one of the winners of Theo Paphitis' Small Business Sunday (#SBS) for May 17th 2015. This is a huge honour for us, and we have received so much support from the #SBS community on Twitter! We'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all, and will be updating our blogs on this site movng forward – but the first one had to be about #SBS!

Our tweet focussed on the husband and wife nature of the business, which has existed for more than 25 years, and also included a picture of our newly designed website (many thanks to Rippleout Marketing – our marketing consultant based in the same small town, very much in the spirit of #SBS!)

Theo Paphitis Re-Tweets Our Tweet

Our success has since been picked up by a number of local business websites and news outlets, including the Business Desk and Pennine Business News, among others. Some of the articles also asked to include a quote from Thea, who owns the company together with husband Jonny – and we have reproduced that below:

“To be recognised by someone as successful in the business world as Theo is such a fantastic achievement for us, particularly as it’s the first time we entered the award. The amount of feedback on our Twitter account from all the other #SBS winners has been phenomenal, and we’ve seen a sudden rise in our number of followers – it’s certainly something I’d recommend to other businesses!”

Based on Bingswood industrial estate in Whaley Bridge, we at supply stillages to companies from across the UK and Europe, and specialise in large production runs of stillages, A-frames, post-pallets and a range of other steel products.
