When we were approached by the writer, I explained about everything we do at Durham Hens: hatching, rearing and sale of hens, sale of poultry supplies both here and online, courses on chicken keeping and 'hen holidays'. She was particularly interested in our hen boarding service as it is something she hadn't heard of before. With the growth in keeping hens as pets, this service has become very popular and we have lots of regular visitors. The woodland we use is ideal for chickens.
