Tell us how #SBS has affected your business
Since attending the #SBS Conference in November, Theo was a real inspiration and I have followed up on some of his advice with regards to shouting about our #SBS win. Our website has a link to our profile page and I have published the photo on the website and other social media accounts including our Facebook page.

My Bio

I started my business BATH HARVEST RAPESEED OIL in September 2011 after being made redundant from a long career as a Civil Servant. As we are a farming family, I decided to diversify by starting up a business alongside and to compliment the farm. I was able to utilise existing resources by cold pressing home grown seed to produce top quality extra virgin rapeseed oil for culinary purposes. Our farm is in Wilmington, a small hamlet close to Newton St Loe on the edge of Bath and our family have been farmers for four generations managing a 600 acre mixed arable and beef Duchy of Cornwall estate. We now have a seed press and bottling room all set up and working in what was a previously unused farm building. Our oil is therefore grown, harvested, pressed and bottled on site thus resulting in a ‘zero’ food miles product. We even use the crushed seed husks as a bi-product known as ‘cake’ to feed our cattle! To compliment our original award winning rapeseed oil we have added some new exciting Infused oils to the range including our best seller - Garlic Infused plus a lovely Oak Smoked Chipotle Infused made with a local chilli company.
