My Buzz

I was delighted to hear that Cut Above Clothing had been chosen to receive one of the Small Business Sunday awards and I'm so pleased that the business is being acknowledged in this way. I have a young family and work full time as a teacher alongside running Cut Above Clothing and it’s taken hard work, resilience, dedication and late nights to get it to where it is now. Recognition like this makes it worthwhile.

My Bio

Cut Above was the realisation of a dream that I had always had to own and run my own business. On reflecting upon advice to base the business on something I was passionate about I decided to combine my love of fashion and fitness and create a gym wear lifestyle brand.
The circumstances leading up to this provided me with the ideal opportunity to start up the business. My daughter was only 4 months old during the school 6 week summer holidays which meant very early mornings and me looking for something to do in the time when she was content or asleep on the sofa with me.
I thought it would be an amazing story to be able to tell her if the business became a success that she inspired me to create it and also very much played a part in it's inception.

My Business Tips

There are no failures in business, just lessons. It takes sacrifice, determination, self belief and mental strength to succeed and staying focused and motivated in times of challenge is what will set you apart from those who don't make it.
Let your vision be the motivation that drives you forwards and believe that good things will come. If it was easy everyone would do it.
Never settle for any less than you expect, pay attention to the details and be adaptable in your approach and thinking.
