My Buzz

#sbs has been one of the most exciting things to happen to Puro hair. Twitter is an amazing marketing tool and #sbs helped Puro hair attract much more interested in our unique salon experience x

My Bio

After hairdressing for 12 years I started to worry about the amount of chemicals we use in hairdressing and how dangerous they can be when applied onto a client’s skin and the damage they do to hair. I didn’t want my staff to be breathing in toxic chemicals all day either! I developed the idea for Puro Organic salon from my worry and found a colour and product range which match my ethics and are 98% natural and free of parabens and also Vegan. I decided I wanted an ethical business due to my keen interest in Yoga and Buddhism and wanted to make it a more relaxed salon experience for staff and clients. We recycle as much waste as we can in the salon and hopefully provide a relaxed experience using as natural products as possible. The salon is coming up to 2 years old, we now have 10 staff and is blossoming with salon number 2 planned for later this year, watch this space!

My Business Tips

Try not to get stressed if things start slowly, believe in what you are doing and it will happen.
Stay positive when you are with your staff, If you are weak, the whole business is weak
Try to be as ethical as possible.
Don’t let people stop you doing things you believe in, within reason!
