We are thrilled to have been selected by Theo Paphitis as an SBS winner. Since winning, the messages of congratulations and support has been overwhelming. We are certainly looking forward to the adventure of being an SBS winner!
I set up The Bear and Miss Rabbit in July 2012 following redundancy whilst on maternity leave.
I have always had a passion for imaginative play and traditional toys; I have 2 young children and a background in IT and sales. Combining all these interests meant that 'The Bear and Miss Rabbit' was born!
Over the last few years the website has launched, and the business has steadily grown.
I love my job, I love sourcing the products, promoting them, selling them and knowing that somewhere, a child is learning and having fun with something from The Bear and Miss Rabbit.
So if you also love seeing children play imaginatively, pop on over and say hello!
Turning imagination into education.
1. Have a plan that fits your business and your goals. It is all too easy to compare yourself to others and try to compete on an uneven footing. Run your own race and grow at a pace that is achievable for you.
2. Don't be afraid to ask for help.
3. Enjoy what you do. The challenges are easier to face if you are enjoying yourself!
