I've been producing music (drum & bass, dubstep, glitch hop, neuro funk) for years and am giving away a free track every 2 weeks throughout 2015, I set myself a challenge to finish a new track every 2 weeks as I have hundreds of unfinished projects and want to improve the art of actually finishing them! If those styles are your bag you can download them at http://www.dannymadds.com/free-music
I was thrilled to win #SBS in 2011, I've since sold the company I won with (@BabyCalendars) and now own @TheBristolShop selling and promoting the fantastic products that are made in Bristol.
I also work as a freelance Wordpress developer building websites for a range of clients throughout the UK, more at www.doitontheweb.co.uk.
I make bass heavy music - more at www.dannymadds.com
Outsource the business tasks you don't enjoy as it will give you more time to do the business tasks you do enjoy. Success and growth are far more likely if you enjoy what you do.
Visualise your main goal and understand what success means to you. Then work backwards breaking up each step you need to take in order to reach your main goal until you have a daily, weekly or monthly step by step plan - and stick to it!
Be aware of what competitors are doing, but don't worry about "keeping up" with them.
Sometimes the best ideas come from the mistakes you make, so don't be afraid of making mistakes. I personally find it more productive to make a mistake and learn from it than to procrastinate and let an idea fizzle out because it was never perfect.
