My Buzz

Run by a qualified teacher and former SENDCO, The SEN Resources Blog www.senresourcesblog.com is read by thousands of parents and teachers of children with Special Educational Needs each week.

The SEN Resources Blog provides advice, learning activities for helping to develop key skills (such as fine motor skills, speech and language, reading etc) and also reviews and recommends children’s books, toys and learning resources.

We have a social media reach of around 38K people per month. We work with children’s book publishers, authors, toy brands and small businesses to promote their products to our audience (if we think their products are relevant and useful for our readers)

My Bio

I’m a mum of two, qualified teacher, a previous head of Special Needs (SENCO) in a Secondary School & tutor for Children with SEN ‘Cheshire SEN Tutor LTD’ (www.cheshiresentutor.com)

I have a BSc (Hons) in Medical Sciences, PGCE with QTS, National Award for Special Education Coordination, Post Graduate Diploma in Vulnerable Learners and Inclusion and Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing. I’m also a Registered Test User With the British Psychological Society.

I started The SEN Resources Blog to share my thoughts, recommendations and ideas of good learning activities to try at home.As well as sharing reviews of resources, toys and books for children (particularly for children with Special Educational Needs).

What started as a blog to share my thoughts...has now become a website that is now accessed by thousands per week. I’ve been featured in the Guardian, SEN Magazine and was chosen by Theo Paphitis as one of his Small Business Sunday #sbs winners.
