Robert Dyas Trading Team Get Inspired @SpringAutFair

Recently the Robert Dyas trading team visited the annual Spring Fair at the NEC in Birmingham. With hundreds of UK and international suppliers vying for business, as well as dozens of seminars, workshops and guest speakers, it’s one of the biggest buying events in the retail calendar.

“It’s the perfect opportunity to meet new suppliers and explore new ideas”, said Helen Keith, Head of Trading at Robert Dyas. “There are thousands of fabulous products out there that have the potential to delight and surprise our customers”.

In fact, the spring fair has been a happy hunting ground for Robert Dyas buyers. In 2012 they snapped up a steam cleaner that went on to become a UK best-seller, and just last year they picked out a remote control toy that became something of a Christmas sensation.

“It’s fantastic when we identify those winning products”, added Helen. “But we’re always on the hunt for more, and that’s why we come back to the Spring Fair every year”.

Whether the selections of 2015 will turn out to be quite as successful, only time can tell. But one thing’s for sure: the signs look promising!
