My Buzz

#SBS has already increased our Twitter followers and raised awareness of our accessible self-catering holidays. I'm loving the #sbs community spirit - it's great to link with other forward thinking businesses.

My Bio

We have a passion for the Peak District and my husband David has lived and farmed at Hoe Grange all his life. As our farming income began to decrease we searched for ways to diversify and share our special landscape.

Hoe Grange Holidays was set up in 2006 with two self-catering log cabins, one of which was suitable for wheelchair users. We were also able to offer stabling and grazing for horses, with superb off-road riding routes. With our farm holidays appealing to two rewarding niche markets, “access for all” and “bring your own horse on holiday”, we have never looked back.

Whilst we cater for disabled guests and provide a wide range of specialist equipment the cabins are equally suitable for couples, families and groups and still feel like a real “home from home”. As one guest commented "not just a welcome pack, more of an "everything you need" pack!"

The overriding comment from guests is the peace and tranquillity of our location, somewhere they can truly relax and unwind, away from the pressures of today’s hectic lifestyle. Now we have expanded to four log cabins, guests can spend quality time with family or a group of friends, work up an appetite hiking up the hills, get back to nature, help feed the farm animals or simply sit back and watch the wildlife.

Passion and enthusiasm has resulted in our business becoming extremely successful in a relatively short space of time and has won several national awards for our outstanding Accessibility and Sustainability; including Visit England Gold Award for Access for All 2011, Visit England Silver Award for Excellence for Sustainable Tourism 2012 & 2013, and Green Tourism Business Scheme Gold Award.

I enjoy friendships and support from the various business networks I belong to and look forward to being a member of the #sbs family.
